THIS was a great day!

We had a great shoot the other day... kids fashion for Dereon. We really can't show the for reals photos yet, so we have posted our amazing roster of behind the scenes talent... well, most of them. Some had a fear of the camera, so we're really not fielding a full lineup here. I have a fear of jumping out of planes, but cameras???

None the less, the relaxed atmosphere, blasting music and talented crew (as you can see below) made for a great day... really, the only way to work. We even shot some fantastic photos of our young models along the way, which are going to yield a strong Fall 2009 campaign. You'll just have to take my word for it.

So let's shine a lil' light on those who made it all happen...

photo assistant... one of 'em always seems to be a bit psycho

... enough said?

One assistant always seems to balance out the other... very zen, no strings, pure talent!

Did i say he likes to dance?

Our digital tech... mindfully preserving the integrity of the days work.

Art director, but today also fielded the duties of all food testing, ensuring the health and well being of our models' delicate tummies.

Graphic designers. Don't let the banana T shirt fool ya... there's a boatload of creativity goin' on here!

Child wrangler... would you let this guy be responsible for your kids?

I'm not sure what she does, but she does it really well!

Props... this about says it all.

I think this woman crashed the shoot?

Classic stage Dad... had the pulse of the Yankees in one hand and the livelihood of his daughter's career in the other.

Guard dog!!!!!!  He was the keeper of the jewels on set...

Until the client ate him... poor doggie

And the glue that keeps it all together and made it all happen!!!!

Thanks for a great shoot everybody. My love and gratitude go out to you all.

off and running...

Welcome to my blog everybody... finally! There is so much to talk about, so here i go...

It is only right that I start this daily rant with dogs, cus that's what I love. Last week I had a fantastic shoot with a whole bunch of puppies, 13 to be exact. We had English Bulldogs, Australian Shepards, Italian Greyhounds, a mini Schnauzer, the most insane Shar-pei and 2 lil' Red Nose Pit Bull pups. Every shot/dog had a funny and unique story about them, but i will be writing for days to tell all.

The Italian Greyhounds (Iggies) cracked me up. It was hilarious to see the squadron of  humans stationed around the set to simply contain these mini speed demons from bolting off the set. There was literally one human per dog (that would be 4)... and these guys only weighed about 5-10 lbs. max! Here is an indication of the mayhem:

This was the only way to keep them from moving...

Lucy stole the show for sure. I questioned if this lil' girl actually qualified as a dog? She was truly a unique being, check her out

And then there were these two, who were intent on playing the dinosaur game... at least that's what it looked like to me.

In the end, it was the most enjoyable day. Everyone had smiles on their faces and were so happy to have spent the day shooting dogs. What a great job I have...
